WHAT DEFINES US
Our Difference
PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Alexis knows and understands burnout not just because she's studied it - she's also lived it. As a qualified therapist, yoga and meditation teacher, and adventure therapy clinician, Alexis offers a unique perspective and skillset in the area of burnout prevention and recovery. She combines this with her own experience of burnout and integrating many different techniques to rediscover optimal wellbeing.
OUR INTEGRATED WELLBEING MODEL
Our integrated wellbeing model combines movement, meditation and mindset and sits at the heart of our workplace programs and coaching. This model takes a holistic approach to burnout prevention and recovery, going beyond talk therapy and incorporating a range of evidence-based techniques that are proven to support stress management and overall health and wellbeing.
EASEFUL AND
FLEXIBLE
We work in flow with our clients. With simple processes and a calm and nurturing approach, we aim to take the stress out of burnout prevention and recovery to ensure achievable and sustainable results.
WHY WE'RE HERE
Our Philosophy
ON A MISSION TO CREATE A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE CAN ACHIEVE OPTIMAL WELLBEING
Through our integrated model of wellbeing we're here to support body, mind and spirit - empowering you to create total life wellbeing.
BODY
Physical health is more than nutrition, working out and getting fit. Rest, relaxation and restoration are so important, and necessary to achieve an optimal state of functioning. Mindful movement and conscious breathing helps to calm the nervous system, release physical pain and tension, and allow the body to heal.
MIND
Often when we think of health we think of being physically fit and healthy, however emotional and mental health is just as important for our overall wellbeing. When we nurture all these aspects of our health, we are better able to self-regulate, manage stress, connect with others, respond with resilience, and feel calm and focused.
SPIRIT
We live in a fast-paced and busy world. We spend more time than ever before at work and being productive, but we spend less time engaging in meaningful connection and nurturing our relationships. The rates of loneliness, isolation and disconnection in our society are alarmingly high, and it's something we want to help change. We're passionate about creating connection through community, which is why we like to work in small groups, encouraging people to share, reflect and connect.

"I’ve always had an interest in learning about people, what moves, ignites and influences us as humans, how we come to be the people we are, and how we can be the people we want to be.

I completed an Honours in Psychology as I wanted to learn more about people. Through the process, I actually ended up learning a lot about myself. In particular, I learnt about the importance of doing the work ourselves so we can use that knowledge to help support others and their journey to where the want to be.

I have fallen over the edge of burnout a few times, been to the lows of compassion fatigue, and “dark night”/s of the soul. Each time I’ve learnt more about myself, who I am, who I was, and who I want to be. I have realised the deep significance of asking, “who am I?” and the joy of taking steps towards finding the answer. It’s in those moments that I have found stillness, peace and a deep calm.

Throughout my career, I’ve always believed that I’m not here to ‘fix’ people and solve everything for them, but to be a facilitator of change. I practice in a way that is respectful of the client and allows people time to trust me. I have found that the best outcomes are those that have been achieved through deep listening, relationship building, going on a journey with people, and communicating in a transparent and empathetic way; with an underlying belief that the individual is the expert of their life. I believe that an effective therapeutic approach to an issue is to work holistically by addressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviours; or: body, mind and spirit.

I think we all have in us and around us what it takes to reach our full potential, to know who we are and achieve who we want to be. Sometimes we just need a bit of “extra” something - be that time, healing and gentle guidance, or to be seen, heard and supported – in order to get there."
